Israel Has a Right to Defend Itself

“Israel has a right to defend itself just like a burglar has, who busts open someone else’s house, not for theft but for invasion, expelling the residents out with force, with a ‘superpower’ fully supporting his actions. Even if the burglar has the most sophisticated weapons, the children of the house fighting for their right to protest against the occupant with stones are surely dangerous militants, terrorists and fanatics”. Anyone who agrees to this narrative and replaces the term ‘freedom fighter’ with any of the three mentioned above, are normal human beings. The rest are too biased to think and discern what’s happening around the world.
“No country on earth would tolerate missiles raining into its territory from outside the borders” says President Obama defending illegitimate Israel’s war crimes, but I add Pakistan and Yemen are exceptions, tolerating American drones on civilians and yes, they do not have the right (or might) to defend themselves.
The most powerful man in the world i.e. President of the United States and the most powerful media backing the Zionist dream, are vigorously portraying to the world that Israel did it all in self-defence (as always), completely ignoring the fact that on 4th of November a mentally ill unarmed man was killed by IDF while approaching the border fence.
Then, on the 13th of October, a 13 year old boy (read militant), Hamid Younis Abu Daqqa became a threat to Israel while playing football with his other ‘militant’ friends outside his house around 2 kilometres away from the border. This Real Madrid fan with his dangerous dream of becoming a soccer player was a big threat to Israel’s existence.
Then, it all began i.e. rockets from Gaza and the fierce attack from one of the most powerful armies in the world, with the media-supported propaganda on one side, and casualties, killings, amputations and real life emergency on the other.
On November 10, 2012 a mother and a father in Gaza lost their 19 year old son. Matar Abu Al-Atta. Within two hours after Matar was killed his mother overwhelmed by shock gave birth to his little brother.
On the 14th November 3 year old Razan Yousef Arafat, the most beautiful angel I have ever seen was torched to death by an Israeli attack.
On Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, 2-year-old Palestinian Waleed Al-Abadlah was killed in the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis.
On the 16th of November 10-month-old Hanen Tafesh, was killed in a Gaza air strike.
Then, there was this 11 month old Omar Jihad Misharawi killed by an israeli attack who received a little bit of attention from the world media due to him being the son of BBC journalist.
“An Israeli round hit Misharawi’s four-room home in Gaza Wednesday, killing his son, according to BBC Middle East bureau chief Paul Danahar, who arrived in Gaza earlier Thursday. Misharawi’s sister-in-law was also killed, and his brother wounded. Misharawi told Danahar that, when the round landed, there was no fighting in his residential neighborhood.” ~ The Washington Post
On 20th November two children, Suhaib and Mohammed, and their father Fuad Hejazi were killed in the northern Gaza Strip when an Israeli air strike in the Gaza town of Beit Lahiya crushed their home.
These are just some of the 165 people murdered by Israeli strikes. The pictures from Gaza melted every human heart. Yes, I said human, because some hearts are harder than rocks, calling for Hiroshima-Nagasaki like one-off solution for Gaza, (Gilad Sharon, son of Ariel Sharon), some calling for Palestine Holocaust, or some of them shamelessly defending Israeli atrocities as a well-deserved treatment for whoever died in the attacks.
When the efforts of truce were underway, on 14 November Israel carried out the extrajudicial killing of Hamas military chief Ahmad al-Jabbari. One question: Does Israel really want peace with a history of breaking ceasefires, targeting civilians including pregnant women, children and media personnel and sabotaging peace and truce agreements?
There’s a lot of noise in the media about rockets fired from Gaza towards Tel Aviv ‘in retaliation’ by the Zionist-loving media, conveniently reporting the rhetoric of 12000 rockets from Gaza to Jerusalem in 12 years. When asked about the casualties the lamest of answers emerge. ‘Israel knows how to defend its citizens while Gaza doesn’t’. No! The reality is that there is no comparison of the scales of ammunition and weapons of mass destruction Israel has against the homemade rockets of Hamas.
ISRAEL has 176,500 armed troops, 500,000 armed reservists, 11,000 armoured vehicles, 3000 battle tanks, 786 aircraft including American F16 bombers, 60 ships, 3 nuclear submarines and 1000s of prohibited cluster bombs. Compare it with the ‘force’ called Hamas: 12,500 troops,
0 armoured vehicles, 0 tanks, 0 aircraft, 0 ships, 0 submarines, 0 cluster bombs but 1000s Qassam and Grad rockets; not to forget the siege, the crisis of food, and shortage of medical and surgical facilities .
The world is out on streets for Gaza. Thanks to social media. The bias of conventional media has made them look uglier than ever and taken the trust further away. People trust independent activists and columnists more than the giant media mouthpieces of superpowers. Just to give you one example out of many. The fearless Harry Fear, the British journalist has been live streaming day in and day out from Gaza. He doesn’t share religion, caste or colour with the Palestinians. But some precious things we all share, like a live, beating, weeping human heart and eyes that see and appreciate the truth.

Your last comment about freedom of speech about Gaza reminded me of a chilling dialogue from the movie Brave heart before Mel Gibson charges with his small army – “They may take our lives, but they will never take our freedom…” Easier said than done, I know. I cannot imagine what those families are feeling who have lost their relatives & children but as Muslims I hope that they can find solace in knowing that this is not the end. This can’t be. That the enemies of Islam will become even more brutal and merciless only to be crushed by the upholders of truth eventually, in this world And in the Hereafter. That day-light shines after the darkest hour. All the Muslims (like yourself – May Allah reward you for your efforts) and like-minded Humanists (Like Harry Fear) speaking truthfully about Gaza and Syria may be tiny drops right now but as long as we have one Mission, we will very soon become waves to be reckoned with. Inshaa Allah. Truth will prevail. period.
It’s unfortunate that our media is busy in reporting deaths of enemies of Pakistan bal thakray, Indian actresses birthdays releases of movies, pathetic incidents from all over the world. Yet no single program how the world, specially Muslims have turned a deaf year and looking at this great Zulm with the corner of their eyes and pretending nothing has happened. I am glad u wrote this article, ur title compelled me to read it. I wish more people have the guts to call this qoum whom have been cursed by Allah Himself. Alas! It is great to read articles like this , to be able to articulate what many want to say and yet they refrain from it, for what particular reason, i think is widely debatable, lakin, hidyat unko data hai jo kabil ho.
It is true that the Zionist are creating havoc and atrocities and are getting away with it, but why ? how ? and what after? they have got rid of all the Palestinians form the Gaza strip , what after ? will they be content ? or are we looking at larger plan that we don’t or can’t seem to see or anticipate.
If we could answer these questions than we may be able to come to a Humane solution , i declare that the Zionist Jews allocate a land to accommodate the Palestinians say somewhere in the Bahamas , or the amazon jungle lot of free land there! also the Palestinians are now adapt enough from the conditioning by the Zionist supported by the outside world they’ve had in the last 80 odd years they will be able to survive almost in any environment.
To any problem one must first look at the root cause , and what really frustrate me is that the anchors always takes sides, why? they never would like to hear the beginning of the story why? or the truth ,what if the doctor did that ? if the doctor was biased towards the patients for whatever reason what then? there is no honor left any more , there is no integrity left in humanity , there is no justice left in this world, we speak about it , we pretend to show we are protecting the people but we are really killing them , and i also take responsibility in this matter because i am much as responsible as the government in office of the country that i live in.
I feel for the Palestinian people, but there are atrocities carried out everyday in the world by governments killing thousands for land , for resources , and for fear of your neighbors becoming powerful enough to be a future treat as anticipated by the zionist , lets face it they will kill the Palestinian people , infiltrate them, but will not allow them to live there , i mean do you think its possible for the thief to take your house and let you live in the stable ? no of course not! he will not be able to sleep at night for the fear he has of his actions and the re-precautions he fears and tortures himself and the future generations, what mess have you got into yourselves OH Zionists, how long will your lies live? and how long will you survive ? As always, a very well researched article referencing the facts that are hard to deny. Israel is the biggest terrorist state supported by an equally hostile US administration. Its just alarming how the so-called champions of free speech and press fail to acknowledge the disproportional killings here. From my understanding of maths, 165 (number of Palestinians killed including women and children) = 33 x 5 (number of Israeli’s killed) and the media cannot see who is the real terrorist here

Allah is not going to forgive Muslims after giving them wealth, land, Armour even nuclear capabilities to be subjected to such a humiliation and shameful treatment.
Although I feel sorry for the innocents caught in the crossfire, your article neglects to mention that the PA
started attacking Israel first. Even before the attacks, Hamas was responsible for the death of those 3 teenagers.
It’s a travesty that civilians are getting killed and injured. They did not decide to join forces with Hamas.
Israel would be facing the same consequence, but they built the iron dome when Hamas and other terrorist groups threatened to “wipe Israel off the map”.
I heard the President of Israel speak yesterday. He said they have been warning civilians before they strike.
I’ve also heard that the PA has often told civilians to ignore the warnings.
Hamas started this by first killing the 3, teenage boys. It was Hamas that fired the first rocket. Civilians of Gaza should really blame Hamas for starting this. On Monday, 7/14, Egypt proposed a cease fire to the region.
Israel agreed to it, but but Hamas continued to fire rockets even when Israel paused in carrying out strikes on Tuesday morning.
Once again, Gazans would pay the price for Hamas’s choices. Hamas has never put the Palestinian people first; it is willing to sacrifice them for its ideological cause. Again, Hamas is telling civilians not to listen to Israeli warnings to evacuate the area. Hamas takes care of its leadership and it’s ammunition by protecting them underground, but they do not care about the people.
Israel would stop if Hamas would stop. How anyone could suggest that Israel just sit there and not defend themselves while Hamas fires missiles is unfair. Blame Hamas for sacrificing the people and not cooperating in a cease fire. Israel could annihilate the entire region, but they know the civilians would suffer most.
Again, blame Hamas.
You write about propaganda coming out of the media. Here in America, the biased, liberal media is making Israel look bad – quite the opposite of what you wrote. Here on your blog, you moderate comments as not to allow contradicting voices that are different from your rhetoric.
You know the truth is, Hamas wants ‘the Zionists’ all dead. You know that Hamas also hates America and wants to kill us as well. Moderating my comments just tells me that you’re not interested in the truth, just your version of it.
